Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of CalendarHippo. By messaging the assistant or connecting your Google account, you agree to them.

What CalendarHippo is

CalendarHippo reads things you send it — messages, forwarded emails, photos of flyers, voice notes — works out what is happening and when, and offers to put it in your calendar. It also sends an evening summary of the day ahead and can tell you when to leave for something.

Private testing

CalendarHippo is in private testing. It is provided free, it is not open to general sign-ups, and it may change, break, or be withdrawn at short notice. Please do not rely on it as your only record of anything that matters.

Your responsibilities

• Check what it proposes before you approve it. It reads flyers and emails written by other people and can misread them.
• Only send information you are entitled to share.
• Keep your WhatsApp account and Google account secure — anyone with access to your WhatsApp can instruct the assistant.
• Do not use it for anything unlawful, or to send content that harasses or harms others.

What we do not promise

CalendarHippo uses AI to interpret what you send. It gets things wrong. It may misread a date on a badly-lit flyer, mishear a word in a voice note, or misunderstand an ambiguous message. Drive times and weather come from Google and are estimates, not guarantees.

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available at any given moment, nor that it will be free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use — including a missed appointment, a wrong date, or an event that failed to send.

You remain responsible for your family's schedule. Treat CalendarHippo as a capable assistant, not as the source of truth.

Your calendar and your data

Events written to your Google Calendar are yours. Disconnecting CalendarHippo or deleting your data does not remove them. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which stops all calendar access immediately.

How we handle your information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Stopping

You can stop using CalendarHippo whenever you like — ask the assistant to delete your data, or email us. We may suspend or end access to the service, for anyone, at any time during testing.

Third-party services

CalendarHippo works alongside WhatsApp, Google Calendar and other services listed in the Privacy Policy. Your use of those is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States.
